Bike Patrol
We currently have 5 trained bike officers who perform high visibility patrol during Syttende Mai, Fair week; and during the summer when manpower permits to patrol the trails, neighborhoods, and downtown. All bike officers have attended the 40 hour International Police Mountain Bike Association (IPMBA) course instructed through UW-Madison Police Department.
Honor Guard
The Stoughton Police Department Honor Guard was created as a ceremonial unit to honor and support fallen members of Law Enforcement, both active and retired, and to pay respects to the nation’s Colors. The Honor Guard consists of four members who train on a regular basis which consists of Posting/Presenting the Colors, Rifle Salute, and Casket Detail. The unit is a member of the Wisconsin Honor Guard Association and assists with funerals or ceremonies when requested. In 2018 they participated in the WI Chief’s of Police Conference, WI DOJ Conference, WI Law Enforcement Memorial, Officer Matthew Rittner (Milwaukee PD) Funeral, the Paul Kraby Memorial, and the Annual Awards Banquet.
